Top of the South

New-Zealand-aerial - Sandra the TravellerTop of the South Tour was our second trip to New Zealand, back in 2009.

It was that spring/almost- summer time of October that we headed out for our second South Island trip. 9 days of almost all glorious weather. We managed to stay ahead of the fickle weather, until the storm hit in the last couple of days.

Unlike our last trip, we drove through the top of the South Island, Hanmer Springs being our first stop. We visited towns like Murchison, St Arnaud, and Nelson before headed for nature in the Abel Tasman National Park. Kaikoura was our last stop before heading back to Christchurch.
